This event usually takes place in a beautiful area of central Puglia in Gioia del Colle, where participants have the opportunity to explore breathtaking landscapes while pedaling along scenic routes. The “Cycling at Sunset” is a pleasant cycling activity organized towards the late afternoon, so that the participants can enjoy the wonderful scenery offered by the colors of the sunset over the Apulian countryside. The itinerary is suitable for all and of varying skill levels, ensuring that everyone can participate and enjoy the experience. After the ride, all the participants gather in the vineyard for the “Aperitivo Pugliese.” Puglia is famous for its delicious and authentic cuisine, so this moment is a perfect opportunity to taste some of the local culinary specialties. The aperitif could include typical dishes of the Apulian tradition, such as taralli, olives, cheeses, salami, bruschetta with fresh tomatoes and olive oil, and other regional delicacies. During the aperitif, participants will have the opportunity to socialise, make new friends and share their cycling and culinary experiences. The highlight of the event is the “final toast” which is usually made with a glass of Apulian wine, a local wine produced right in the vineyard where the event takes place. Furthermore, the event could also include, upon request, additional activities such as guided tours of the cellar to learn about the winemaking process, cooking demonstrations, live music or other forms of themed entertainment.
